Company Logo

The company I decided to go with was the Sunhead Solar Power company. The audience for this design would be the general public, mainly anyone that would be using the solar power energy. For the design, I decided to create a head logo with a sun behind it, giving the idea of the “Sun Head”. I also felt the sun’s triangle shapes added nice contrast to the rounded head icon. To show that it was a solar power company, I used little blue slanted rectangles to create the solar panel on the head. I added these to give the head more contrast instead of just the yellow sun and head icon. To show even more that it was a power company, I used lines to create a power cord wrapped around the neck of the sunhead icon and put the plug hanging down. I used a bold, easy to read font that would allow the logo to be resized while keeping its readability. For the logo, I used strokes on both the head and the sun to separate them while still keeping them unified. It also helps distinguish what exactly the shape is. I put the text of the logo just right and down of the icon’s mouth, giving it a close proximity but I didn’t want the text to touch anything.
