It's Me!

I am a Sophomore attending the College of Charleston. I am majoring in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science. I was recommended to take this course by my general advisor freshmen year and glad I was finally able to take it. I took a Building Virtual Worlds class with Professor Moore when I was a freshmen and I was glad to have her again for this class. I took the class because I was interested in website design and I feel with the way technology is advancing, it may soon be a required skill in the business world. I really enjoyed the class and would recommend the class and Professor Moore to anyone interested in website design.


I have been interested in art and music my whole life. I attended the Charleston County School of the Arts for middle and high school and graduated in 2009. I was accepted into School of the Arts for playing the Violin, which I started playing in the 5th grade. I really enjoyed playing the violin during those years and still sometimes pick it up and play it every now and then. I also enjoy the visual arts, such as drawing and photography. I love going out and seeing the world through my lens. I enjoy creating and manipulating images and photos with photoshop, which this class helped me improve on my photoshopping skills.

I am an active member of the College of Charleston chapter of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. It is a honor society that invites first and second year college students that are ranked in the top 20 percent of their class and a GPA of 3.4 or higher. Along with being in the School of the Arts Orchestra from sixth grade to senior year, I was also on the FIRST Robotics Team 342 senior year. There were 5 teams: Mechanical, Electrical, Inventor, Animation, and Communications. I was on the animation team and loved it. Our safety animation that we created even won at the national level, and can be seen here. The mechanical and electrical teams build a robot for the game that is announced while the animation team works on an animation on a certain announced topic. Our animation can be seen here.


I also love playing World of Warcraft, listening to Lady Gaga, and sometimes dye my hair different colors, especially blue!
