CD Cover

For this design I decided to use my friend as the main element of the CD cover. She had a wolf “spirit hood” that she had taken many pictures in and it went with my CD idea so I asked for her permission to use a picture for my CD cover, which I was granted. I decided to use a cartoon-looking picture instead of a clear normal picture because I felt I could make it blend better overall with the design I wanted and I liked the pose. I felt the music CD would be more of a rock CD, so I wanted to give the design an organized but slightly chaotic feel. I used a dark purple background that I created using Photoshop to give strong contrast between her and the overall background. I also decided on bold, bright text to make sure it was easily readable and give the design more contrast. I also went with fonts and designed the background to all go with the animal/beast design I was going for. I also decided to make the recording company a cat logo to stay with the animal theme. I made sure to keep the same fonts for the band name and album name for the back cover to keep it consistent.
